I’m a writer, critic, and PhD candidate in English at the University of California, Berkeley. I’m also a founding editor of Miscellany, a biannual journal of writing and art.
My work’s appeared in Post45 Contemporaries, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Joyland, Full Stop, Literary Hub, and elsewhere.
At Berkeley, my dissertation categorizes contemporary Anglophone fiction’s attempts to create politically performative narrative forms—to respond to the imperative to make a difference.
In an earlier life, I was an adjunct instructor and journalist in Portland, Oregon. I also take a lot of photographs, mostly on film.
